A few years ago, the Archibald prize landed in the Yarra Valley at Tarrawarra Museum of Art, and to say it was popular is an understatement! Thousands of people came through each of the exhibitions at the museum over consecutive years. September 2019 sees the return of the Archibald Prize travelling exhibition to TarraWarra and the whole Valley is gearing up for a busy few weeks with art lovers coming from all over. The winning painting, “Lindy Lee”, by Tony Costa, will of course be on display, as will the Packeting Room Prize winner “Through the Looking Glass” by Tessa MacKay (a portrait of actor David Wenham) and the People’s Choice winner “Tjuparntarri – women’s business”, by David Darcy.
