Four Reasons Midweek is the best in the Yarra Valley
The Yarra Valley is spectacular in spring – The vines have a flush of new bright green canopy, the grass is lush, and the skies are spectacular. But that’s just the beginning, Here’s 4 reasons you should take the day off and head to the valley.
Four Pillars is open, and there’s no queue.
One of our all-time favourite venues is open for tastings, light food, and (possibly the best reason) Bloody Marie’s. Super-popular with our visitors, Four Pillars is on our midweek Icons and Young Guns tour and is always worth the trip.
The winemakers are often available and working the cellar doors.
Quiet weekdays are often when you”l get a chance to speak to the actual wine makers about their divine produce. Take Payten and Jones for example – You’ll probably meet Troy or Behn at the tasting bench, and talk for ages about all manner of wine making wonders.
It’s so chilled out.
Without the rush of thousands of other road-trippers and wine lovers, the pace of your day is so relaxed! Especially on gorgeous spring and summer days, there’s no better place to be than the Yarra Valley, taking time out.
It’s cheaper!
Last but certainly not least, when you book with Wombat Tours and Transfers from now until the end of November and use the code MIDWEEK10 at checkout, you’ll save 10% – and that’s a great reason to take the day off and head for the Valley with us!
